Astrid S, real name Astrid Smeplass, is a Norwegian pop singer-songwriter from Berkåk.
She started her musical career in 2013, she came fifth in the Norwegian Pop Idol the very same year before she her debut single, Shattered. In 2015, she won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Norwegian Act. She followed this up by releasing her debut self-titled EP in May 2016. 2019 saw her release two new EPs, ‘Trust Issues’ and an acoustic, stripped down EP ‘Down Low’. She has recently been on tour with Zara Larsson and Years and Years. Astrid S has rescheduled her UK and European tour dates to autumn 2021 in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
