August Alsina is an American singer-songwriter from New Orleans, Louisiana.
Starting his music career in 2007, he released his debut mixtape, 'The Product', in 2012 and his debut EP, ‘Downtown: Life Under the Gun’, followed a year later. After signing with Def Jam Recordings, his debut album, ‘Testimony’, came out in 2014, and reached #2 in the Billboard Hot 200, and #10 in the UK Albums Chart. His second album, ‘This Thing Called Life’ came out a year later, hitting #14 in the USA chart. In June 2017, Alsina unveiled the track Don't Matter. He has headlined his own shows and tours across the USA, including supporting Usher on his The UR Experience Tour in 2014, and has headlined London’s O2 Forum too.
