Beatsteaks are a German punk rock band from Berlin, featuring vocalist and guitarist Arnim Teutoburg-Weiß, vocalist and lead guitarist Bernd Kurtzke, Peter Baumann on guitar, keyboard and vocals, Thomas Götz on drums and vocals and Torsten Scholz on bass.
Formed in 1995, the band won a local music competition and opened for the Sex Pistols at a concert in Berlin. Since then the band have toured the world, released seven studio albums, including their debut, ‘48/49’, in 1997, two lives albums and three EPs. The band are set to release their latest album, ‘Yours’, on September 1, 2017. Beatsteaks are set to play London’s KOKO in November in support of ‘Yours’.
