Biffy Clyro are an alternative rock band from Kilmarnock, Scotland, consisting of vocalist and guitarist Simon Neil, bassist James Johnston and drummer Ben Johnston.
Formed in 1995, they were spotted at the Unsigned Bands Stage at T in the Park in 2000 and signed to Beggar's Banquet. The band’s debut album, ‘Blackened Sky’, was released in 2002, and led to them to their first huge tour while supporting Weezer in Glasgow. Now with a total of eight albums in their discography—their most recent being 2020's 'A Celebration Of Endings'—the band have gone on to headline arenas of their own, as well as bagging main stage slots at some of the UK biggest festivals, including Download, Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, Sonisphere and Radio 1's Big Weekend. Their ninth studio album, 'The Myth Of The Happily Ever After', is due to arrive in autumn 2021. Biffy Clyro have postponed their intimate acoustic shows planned for January 2022 with new dates to be announced (their Radio X intimate acoustic show has been rescheduled to March 10). In June 2022, they will headline Download Festival and The Big Top Festival, with a rescheduled European Tour lined up for the following autumn. They will also tour North America in spring 2022.
