Biffy Clyro are a Scottish alternative rock band from Kilmarnock, consisting of vocalist and guitarist Simon Neil, bass player James Johnston and drummer Ben Johnston.
Formed in 1995, they were spotted at the Unsigned Bands Stage at T in the Park in 2000 and signed to Beggar's Banquet. The band’s debut album, ‘Blackened Sky’, was released in 2001, and led to them supporting Weezer in Glasgow. The band’s second album, ‘The Vertigo of Bliss’, came out in 2003, followed by ‘Infinity Land’ in 2004. In 2006 the band signed with 13th Floor, and released ‘Puzzle’ the following year, which reached #2 in the UK Albums Chart. ‘Only Revolutions’ came out in 2009, followed by ‘Opposites' in 2013 and 'Ellipsis' in 2016. The rock titans released their latest full-length effort, 'A Celebration Of Endings', in August 2020. As well as headlining their own shows and tours across the UK, Europe and North America, the band have performed at festivals such as Download, Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, T in the Park, Sonisphere, V and Radio 1's Big Weekend. They have also supported bands such as Muse, the Who, Queens Of The Stone Age, Bon Jovi, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Linkin Park, Metallica, Foo Fighters and the Rolling Stones. Biffy Clyro will take the Fingers Crossed Tour across the UK in April 2021 and play a huge Scottish show at Glasgow's Bellahouston Park in June 2021. They have also rescheduled their European tour to October 2021 in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
