Bikini Kill Tickets, Tour Dates & Concerts 2023/2024 ♫Last Updated: 18 Nov 2022 1:31pm
Bikini Kill are a feminist punk band based in Washington.
Formed in 1990 and breaking up in 1997, the band was made up of Kathleen Hanna, Tobi Vail, Billy Karren (a.k.a. Billy Boredom) and Kathi Wilcox. Bikini Kill is credited with instigating the Riot Grrrl movement in the early '90s via their political lyrics, zines and confrontational live shows. Bikini Kill recorded and released two EPs, three singles and two full-length albums – 1993's 'Pussy Whipped' and 'Reject All American' in 1996. After the split they put out 'The Singles' collection in 1998, but their most recent release was the reissue of the 'Revolution Girl Style Now' EP in 2015. The band began touring in June 1991, and touched down all over the world, including the US several times, Europe, Australia and Japan. They used touring as a way to create an underground network between girls who played music, put on shows and made fanzines. This independent media making and informal network created a forum for multiple female voices to be heard. Bikini Kill have rescheduled their North American dates to April 2023, following an Australian run that March. Catch them live by checking tour dates and ticket information below on Stereoboard.
