Billy Corgan is a musician and songwriter from Chicago, best known as being the primary songwriter, guitarist and sole permanent member of The Smashing Pumpkins.
With the Pumpkins, Corgan put out their debut 'Gish' in 1991, followed by 'Siamese Dream' in 1993, as well as four more before their break-up in 2000. Corgan started the short-lived project Zwan, and dropped his debut solo album, 'TheFutureEmbrace', in 2005. He also published a book of poetry, Blinking With Fists, in the early '00s before setting his sights on reforming The Smashing Pumpkins. Alongside his studio record, Corgan has also worked on various film soundtracks. In 2017, he released his first solo album in over a decade, 'Ogilala', followed by his third solo full-length, 'Cotillions, in 2019.
