Bloc Party are a British alternative rock band from London, currently consisting of founding members Kele Okereke and Russell Lissack, alongside Louise Bartle and Justin Harris, who replaced Gordon Moakes and Matt Tong.
Formed in 2003, the band released their debut album, ‘Silent Alarm’, in 2005, which was followed by ‘A Weekend In The City’, in 2007, and ‘Intimacy’, in 2008, before the band went on hiatus to concentrate on other projects. They returned again in 2012, with ‘Four’, before a lineup change and a new album, ‘Hymns’ in 2016.
The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the UK and have played festivals such as Reading and Leeds and Glastonbury, as well as a performances as part of BBC Electric Proms, NME Awards Tour 2016 and The Radio X Road Trip.
