Pick Of Friday’s Tickets: The Black Keys, The National, Interpol, Bombay Bicycle Club & Frank Turner



Ohio’s Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, aka The Black Keys, will hit up four UK arena shows early next year. The duo, who play a headline set at this weekend’s Latitude Festival, will take center stage at Manchester’s Phones 4u Arena, Birmingham’s LG Arena in February, followed by shows at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro, London’s O2 Arena and Leeds’ First Direct Arena in March.

The National have confirmed a one-off show at London’s O2 Arena, having opened for Neil Young at Hyde Park last weekend as part of the British Summer Time music series. The indie quintet will hit the iconic Greenwich venue on November 26, bringing their Trouble Will Find Me tour to a close. Wild Beasts provide support.

Interpol have confirmed three UK and Irish shows for early next year. The New Yorkers release their fifth album ‘El Pintor’ on September 8 and hit up London’s Roundhouse, Manchester’s Albert Hall and Dublin’s Olympia on February 6, 8 and 10, respectively. The UK dates are part of a European trek that also visits the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy and Denmark.

Ahead of their Latitude Festival appearance this weekend, Bombay Bicycle Club have announced a show at London’s Earl’s Court for the winter. Having topped the album charts earlier this year with their latest album, ‘So Long See You Tomorrow’, the indie troupe will cap another successful year headlining the iconic arena on December 13. The quartet also play the Reading and Leeds Festivals next month.

Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls have announced a string of dates for the autumn, confirming a tour of venues a little off the beaten track. The folk-punk star, who hit the road for an arena run earlier this year, will play shows in Norwich, Leicester, Salisbury, St Albans, Cambridge, Northampton, Bath, Yeovil, Looe, Exeter, Hartlepool, Dunfermline, Warrington, Hull, Wakefield and Oxford, in addition to a set at London’s On Blackheath.
