This Week’s Top Tickets: Pixies, Embrace, Blossoms, Ms Lauryn Hill, Maverick Sabre, Machine Gun Kelly, Cher, Louise and more.

Alt-rock pioneers Pixies will tour the UK and Europe this autumn, while legendary British indie band Embrace will celebrate music from ‘The Good Will Out’ and ‘Out of Nothing’ at London’s Alxeandra Palace Theatre on December 6. Stockport band Blossoms, meanwhile, have lined up festival warm up shows in Cardiff, Leicester, Lincoln and Stoke.

Former Eternal vocalist Louise Redknapp will follow the release of ‘Heavy Love’ with a run of dates in spring 2020, while Machine Gun Kelly has confirmed the UK leg of his Hotel Diablo Tour, fresh from portraying drummer Tommy Lee in the Netflix adaption of the Mötley Crüe autobiography, The Dirt. There’s also fresh dates confirmed by Maverick Sabre and former Fugees member Ms Lauryn Hill, who will headline Blackpool’s Livewire Festival in August.

Pixies

The pioneering alt-rock band will play a host of venues, kicking off at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff on September 13 before stops in Plymouth, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and London, where they’ll play Alexandra Palace. The run also includes two Irish dates in Belfast and Dublin and falls within the same month as the Boston band are due to release their currently untitled seventh studio album. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on April 5, priced from £39.50 (£45 for London) plus fees.

Embrace

Embrace will celebrate songs from ‘The Good Will Out’ and ‘Out Of Nothing’ at a huge show at Alexandra Palace Theatre in London on December 6. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on April 5, priced £30 plus fees.

Blossoms

The indie-pop quintet will be joined by Fuzzy Sun and Inhaler in Cardiff, Leicester, Lincoln and Stoke around their previously announced hometown show at Stockport’s Edgeley Park Stadium on June 22. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on April 5, priced £22.50 plus fees.

Ms Lauryn Hill

Ms. Lauryn Hill will headline this year’s Livewire Festival, topping the bill at Blackpool’s Tower Headland Arena on Saturday August 24. Tickets go on sale at 10am on April 5.

Maverick Sabre

The singer-songwriter, who released ‘When I Wake Up’ last week, has confirmed shows in Manchester, Glasgow, Sheffield, Cardiff, Birmingham, Bristol and London, where he’ll tackle the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on November 22. Tickets are on sale now, priced £17.50/£20 plus fees.

Machine Gun Kelly

The rapper and actor, who recently starred in the Netflix adaption of the Mötley Crüe autobiography, The Dirt, will take his Hotel Diablo World Tour to Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham and London in August. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on August 5, priced £27.50/£30 plus fees.

Tour Of The Week: Cher To Perform In The UK For The First Time In Over 14 Years

Cher is heading back on tour for the first time in over 14 years. Cher tickets are on sale now, priced £45.00 plus booking fees.

The superstar has lined up seven autumn dates for the UK and Ireland leg of her Here We Go Again world tour, at Manchester Arena, Birmingham Arena, the SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow, Leeds’ First Direct Arena, the 3Arena in Dublin and London’s O2 Arena for two nights.

Cher holds the UK Record for the biggest selling single of all time by a female artist for Believe. The shows will see the icon performing hits from her huge repertoire as well as new songs from the ‘Dancing Queen’ album, her tribute to the music of ABBA, which is out now. Cher said:

“I’m very excited to bring this show to the UK. It was the first country to embrace Sonny and Cher, and it’s where we created and had our first success with Believe. It’s really my second home.”

Cher recently returned to the big screen with a performance in the hit film Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again followed by the release of her new album inspired by the movie, ‘Dancing Queen’. Head below to stream the title track.

Iconic superstar Cher will return to the UK and Ireland in 2019 for her first live dates in over 14 years, Westlife have added two extra Cardiff dates to their Twenty tour and R&B star Janelle Monáe has announced a trio of massive shows for next summer, calling at London’s SSE Arena Wembley prior to nights at Dublin’s Trinity College, as part of the venue’s Summer Series, and the Castlefield Bowl in Manchester.

Jess Glynne has expanded her summer tour plans with huge shows in Colwyn Bay and Swansea, with South Wales also hosting Stereophonics next summer for a 20th anniversary celebration of the Welsh rockers’ landmark gig at Swansea’s Morfa Stadium. They’ll also mark 20 years since the release of their second album, ‘Performance and Cocktails’.

Maverick Sabre and Newton Faulkner have both lined up headlining tours, while Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott have announced a massive date at Stockport’s Edgeley Park. Swedish heavy metal icons In Flames have also confirmed they’ll grace the UK in April.
