This Week’s New Releases: Mandy Moore, Megan Thee Stallion And Ani Glass

Not that we need a reason to give women in music the credit they deserve, but in honour of International Women’s Day this weekend we’re going to use our limited time and word count to put the spotlight on releases by ladies this week.

Mandy Moore is back with her first new album in over 10 years, while Megan Thee Stallion and Ani Glass have both put out their debut LPs. We’ve also been treated to ‘Hunted’ from Anna Calvi, a reworking of her 2018 album ‘Hunter’ featuring collaborations with Courtney Barnett, Joe Talbot of Idles, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Julia Holter.

Gods Of Rap II

Nas will be joined by DMX, the Lox and Gang Starr will come together at Manchester Arena, London’s O2 Arena and Birmingham Arena on April 23, 24 and 25, respectively on the second Gods Of Rap UK tour this April. All shows will be hosted and presented by Just Blaze. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday, January 31.

Jeff Lynne’s ELO

The legendary band, who released ‘From Out Of Nowhere’ in November, have lined up arena shows in Birmingham, Manchester, Belfast, Dublin, Glasgow and London, where they’ll play two nights at the O2, during October. The From Out Of Nowhere Tour also includes performances in Oslo, Stockholm, Herning, Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne, Munich and Amsterdam between September 19 and October 2. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on January 31.

Sting

The former Police vocalist will bring his My Songs Tour to the London Palladium for three nights, performing on September 17, 18 and 19. Support will come from Cruel Hearts Club. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on January 31.

Tom Jones

The legendary vocalist will call in Hull, Darlington, Plymouth, Inverness, Telford, Paddock Wood, Newmarket, Carlisle Edinburgh and Norwich between June 13 and August 16. Black Stone Cherry

The Kentucky Rockers have announced a UK tour for October, calling in Southampton, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool, Birmingham, Cardiff, Nottingham and London, where they’ll perform at the Royal Albert Hall on October 14. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on January 31.
