It may be a quiet week for new releases, but I’m sure there are some gems out there. Jaden Smith’s new record is finally here, Fangclub have dropped their sophomore album and Jesca Hoop has released solo record #7.

This Week’s Top Tickets: Pixies, Embrace, Blossoms, Ms Lauryn Hill, Maverick Sabre, Machine Gun Kelly, Cher, Louise and more.

Alt-rock pioneers Pixies will tour the UK and Europe this autumn, while legendary British indie band Embrace will celebrate music from ‘The Good Will Out’ and ‘Out of Nothing’ at London’s Alxeandra Palace Theatre on December 6. Stockport band Blossoms, meanwhile, have lined up festival warm up shows in Cardiff, Leicester, Lincoln and Stoke.

Former Eternal vocalist Louise Redknapp will follow the release of ‘Heavy Love’ with a run of dates in spring 2020, while Machine Gun Kelly has confirmed the UK leg of his Hotel Diablo Tour, fresh from portraying drummer Tommy Lee in the Netflix adaption of the Mötley Crüe autobiography, The Dirt. There’s also fresh dates confirmed by Maverick Sabre and former Fugees member Ms Lauryn Hill, who will headline Blackpool’s Livewire Festival in August.

Pixies

The pioneering alt-rock band will play a host of venues, kicking off at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff on September 13 before stops in Plymouth, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and London, where they’ll play Alexandra Palace. The run also includes two Irish dates in Belfast and Dublin and falls within the same month as the Boston band are due to release their currently untitled seventh studio album. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on April 5, priced from £39.50 (£45 for London) plus fees.

Embrace

Embrace will celebrate songs from ‘The Good Will Out’ and ‘Out Of Nothing’ at a huge show at Alexandra Palace Theatre in London on December 6. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on April 5, priced £30 plus fees.

Blossoms

The indie-pop quintet will be joined by Fuzzy Sun and Inhaler in Cardiff, Leicester, Lincoln and Stoke around their previously announced hometown show at Stockport’s Edgeley Park Stadium on June 22. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on April 5, priced £22.50 plus fees.

Ms Lauryn Hill

Ms. Lauryn Hill will headline this year’s Livewire Festival, topping the bill at Blackpool’s Tower Headland Arena on Saturday August 24. Tickets go on sale at 10am on April 5.

Maverick Sabre

The singer-songwriter, who released ‘When I Wake Up’ last week, has confirmed shows in Manchester, Glasgow, Sheffield, Cardiff, Birmingham, Bristol and London, where he’ll tackle the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on November 22. Tickets are on sale now, priced £17.50/£20 plus fees.

Machine Gun Kelly

The rapper and actor, who recently starred in the Netflix adaption of the Mötley Crüe autobiography, The Dirt, will take his Hotel Diablo World Tour to Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham and London in August. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on August 5, priced £27.50/£30 plus fees.

Cher

Following previously announced shows in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds and Dublin, the pop superstar will close the run at the SSE Arena Belfast on November 3. Tickets for the new date go on general sale at 9am on April 5.

Louise
