This Week’s New Releases: Bruce Springsteen, Madonna And Kate Tempest

This week is all about quality, not quantity. The number of new releases may be few, but they are mighty. The Boss has put out an album inspired by Southern California pop records of the late 1960s and early ’70s, the Queen Of Pop has introduced us to the enigmatic Madame X, and Kate Tempest has treated us to album number four.

Keane will return with new album ‘Cause and Effect’ plus accompanying tour dates this autumn, calling in Birmingham, Leicester, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Brighton, and London, where they’ll play the iconic Royal Albert Hall on September 28 and 29. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on June 14.

Muse

Muse have lined up further UK shows for September, calling at London’s O2 Arena on September 14 and 15, before performing at Arena Birmingham on September 17. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on June 14. The trio are touring behind their 2018 LP ‘Simulation Theory’.

Madonna

The Queen of Pop is set to headline 15 shows at the London Palladium between January 26 and February 15, 2020. A limited amount of general sale tickets are on sale now.

Emeli Sandé

Emeli Sandé has announced her third album ‘Real Life’ plus accompanying UK tour, with the award-winning singer-songwriter confirmed shows during November and December, including a London show at the Hammersmith Eventim Apollo. Tickets for the new tour go on general sale at 9am on June 14.

Travis Scott

Of Monsters And Men

The Icelandic band will follow up the July 26 release of ‘Fever Dream’ with shows in Dublin, Belfast, Newcastle, Birmingham, London, Glasgow, Manchester, and Nottingham between October 23 and November 2. They’ll also take the tour to Europe between November 4 and 23. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on June 14.

Planet Earth II Live In Concert

Experience the award-winning BBC television series accompanied by the City Of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra next spring, with shows confirmed in Cardiff, Manchester, Leeds, Dublin, Birmingham, Glasgow, and London, where there will be an evening and matinee show. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on June 14.

The Rolling Stones Havana Moon

The legendary band’s Havana Moon performance, which saw them play to 500,000 fans at a free outdoor gig in the Cuban capital in March 2016, will be projected onto supersize ultra high definition screens via cutting-edge cinematic technology and state-of-the-art soundsystems at 11 shows across the country this autumn. The immersive, multi-sensory event will also feature Cuban dancers, set designs that mimic the orginal production and concert lighting, allowing fans to experience the historic, record-breaking show almost as if they were there. Queen of Pop Madonna has announced a 12-date run of shows at the London Palladium in early 2020 as part of her Madame X Tour, while Biffy Clyro will warm up for their headlining appearance at the Isle of Wight Festival with a summer date at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on June 14. British electronic music pioneers Underworld will take over London’s SSE Arena Wembley for their biggest ever headline show on December 7.

Odd Future mastermind Tyler, The Creator has confirmed a brace of shows at the O2 Academy Brixton this summer and the Amazons will embark on their Future Dust Tour in November, which shares its name with the band’s upcoming album, out on May 24. Danish psychobilly-rockers Volbeat, meanwhile, will be joined by Baroness and Danko Jones for a UK and Ireland tour in September and October. Additionally, comedian and host of The Daily Show Trevor Noah will bring his Loud And Clear stand-up tour to London’s O2 Arena on April 4.
