Pre-sale opens at 10am on May 14, ahead of general sale at 10am on May 15.

Singer-songwriter James Arthur has announced the You Up Close and Personal Tour for the autumn, while pop vocalist John Newman, most famous for his 2013 single Love Me Again, will bring his Out Of The Blue Tour to venues this summer. Singer-songwriter Marina, meanwhile, has announced the Love + Fear UK Tour Part 2 for October and November this year.

British electronic group Hot Chip will take over London’s iconic Alexandra Palace on October 26 and former Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman will bring together music and funny anecdotes on The Grumpy Old Christmas Show Tour later this year.

James Arthur

The singer-songwriter has lined up autumn dates for his You Up Close And Personal Tour, calling in Stoke, Southend, Manchester, Hull, Birmingham, Newcastle, Sheffield, Bath, Cardiff, Bournemouth, Reading, London, Nottingham, Carlisle, Liverpool and Glasgow between October 6 and 29. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on May 31.

Marina

The singer-songwriter will bring part two of her Love + Fear Tour to Edinburgh’s Usher Hall, the O2 Apollo Manchester, Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena, the Eventim Apollo in London and Brighton Centre between October 28 and November 5. The tour shares its name with Marina’s new album, which came out in April. John Newman

The pop singer will bring his Out Of The Blue Tour to York, Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool, Stoke, Cardiff, Guildford, Brighton, Bournemouth, Margate, Nottingham, Hull and London, where he’ll play the Lexington, this summer. Tickets go on sale at 10am on May 31.

The band, who are set to release ‘Bath Full Of Ecstasy’ on June 21, will finish up the album’s accompanying tour with a show at Alexandra Palace, London on October 26. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on May 31, priced from £33.70 including fees.

On July 11, 1969, David Bowie released Space Oddity, a matter of days before Apollo 11 set off for the moon. With Rick Wakeman of Yes contributing Mellotron, the iconic song, which detailed the mission of Major Tom, was recorded at London’s Trident Studios and included on Bowie’s second album. The single reached #1 after being re-released in 1975, while astronaut Chris Hadfield paid tribute to Bowie with a rendition during his stay on the International Space Station in 2013.
