On September 6, 1943, Roger Waters was born. A co-founder of the prog rock band Pink Floyd, Waters would over time become a visionary songwriter, driving the band’s output between their ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’ and ‘The Final Cut’ albums. After leaving Floyd he released a string of solo records and also toured ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’ and ‘The Wall’ as impressive arena spectacles. In 2005 he performed with Pink Floyd at Live 8 and published an opera, Ça Ira.
