This Week’s New Releases: IDLES, Silk Sonic And Little Mix

There are some highly anticipted records out this week. Idles have dropped LP #4,  Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have released their collaborative Silk Sonic album, and Little Mix are celebrating their 10th anniversary with ‘Between Us’, which features greatest hits along with new material.

The group will reunite for a run of UK and Ireland arena shows this autumn, calling in Dublin, Belfast, Brighton, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Hull, Sheffield, Newcastle, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Nottingham and London, where they’ll play the O2 Arena. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on February 21.

The Killers

The Las Vegas band will take over Keepmoat Stadium on May 26 prior to their previously confirmed outdoor shows, which include two performances at both the Emirates Stadium in London and Dublin’s Malahide Castle. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on February 21.

Lewis Capaldi

The Scottish singer-songwriter, who hit number one in the UK with his 2019 debut album ‘Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent’, will headline London’s O2 Arena on October 2. He also has a previously announced spring UK and Ireland arena tour in the diary, as well as dates in North America supporting Niall Horan and summer festival appearances in the UK and Europe. Tickets for the new London gig go on general sale at 11am on February 21.

Laura Marling

The singer-songwriter has lined up UK shows in May, calling in Manchester, Birmingham, and London, where she’ll play three shows, performing at the Islington Assembly Hall, the Tabernacle and Leicester Square Theatre. The run also includes an appearance at Brighton Festival on May 24. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on February 21.

The Kooks at All Points East

The Kooks (pictured) and the Wombats are the latest headliners to be confirmed for All Points East in London. The bands will be joined on Sunday May 30 by Tom Walker, Jake Bugg, Gang Of Youths, Gabrielle Aplin, the Lathums, Bloxx, Lauran Hibberd, and many more that are still to be announced. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on February 21.

Ronan Keating

Ronan Keating will support his upcoming album, ‘Twenty Twenty’, with a summer UK and Ireland tour, kicking off on June 5 in Belfast and wrapping up on June 27 in Brighton, including a performance at London’s Eventim Apollo on June 25. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on February 21.

Alfie Boe

The British tenor will perform at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on June 27 as part of the Armed Forces Day National Event. He’ll be joined by mezzo-soprano Laura Wright. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on February 21.

The Who

The legendary British rockers are among the latest acts announced for this year’s Teenage Cancer Trust show series at London’s Royal Albert Hall, performing with a full orchestra on March 28. Tickets go on general sale at 9.30am on February 21.

John Bishop

The Liverpool will host a night of comedy at the Royal Albert Hall on March 24 as part of this year’s Teenage Cancer Trust show series. Special guests are to be revealed in due course. Beyonce At #1 On Stereoboard’s Hot Ticket Chart

It won’t come as that much of a shock that Beyonce has shot straight to #1 on Stereoboard’s Hot Ticket Chart in her first week. Following closely behind are Adele and Coldplay.  While The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, has also managed a top 5 position in his first week on the chart, meaning Justin Bieber has moved down one place and AC/DC have, for the first time in what seems like forever, been knocked out of the top 5.

There’s a lot of new blood in the chart, as well as some familiar names who’ve returned. This week we welcome Ronan KeatingJess GlynneTwenty One Pilots and The Lumineers, among others.

In the next week Beyonce‘s second date at Wembley goes on sale, along with tickets for The OffspringTom JonesStatus Quo and Ocean Colour Scene. Do we reckon Queen B will continue to reign supreme on the top spot? Or will she be bumped by one of the other contenders on the chart? Check back next week and you’ll find out.

Rod Stewart Rises To The Top Of Stereoboard’s Hot Ticket Chart

Rod Stewart has ended the back and forth between Adele and Bryson Tiller and has risen to #1 on Stereoboard’s Hot Ticket Chart.  Following closely behind in second place is chart newcomer Shawn Mendes and completing the top five are AdeleColdplay and Justin Bieber.

Not doing so well this week is Bryson Tiller, who has slid all the way from #1 down to #12, and Madness, who have dropped 10 places from #7 to #17. Meanwhile, making a modest return to the chart is KygoTwenty One Pilots and Jeff Lynnes ELO.

In the next week we have tickets for some huge shows going on sale, including the Queen Bey herself, Beyoncé, Bradford’s finest magician Dynamo, ’80s darlings Wet Wet Wet, California-based singer-songwriter Ben Harper and former Boyzone member turned solo singer Ronan Keating. The lead vocalist of 1960s girl group the Ronettes has added a London show at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire to her 2016 tour plans, with her return to the capital confirmed for May 15. Spector also performs at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill On Sea the following day. Tickets for the London date are on pre-sale at general sale at 10am on Thursday, ahead of general sale on Friday.
