This Week’s New Releases: Miranda Lambert, Jeff Goldblum, Krept & Konan

There’s a lot going on this week, with some records celebrating anniversaries and others looking back on prolific careers. We’ve also got Miranda Lambert putting out her seventh solo studio album, Jeff Goldblum releasing a record that finds him duetting with Anna Calvi and Sharon Van Etten, among others, and Krept & Konan have finally dropped the full-length follow-up to 2015’s ‘Long Way Home’.

This Week’s Top Tickets: The Libertines, Idles, The Damned, Killswitch Engage, Skepta, Van Morrison, Dita Von Teese and more

Indie royalty the Libertines will tour the UK this winter, including a date at the O2 Academy Brixton, London on December 18. Bristol punks Idles, meanwhile, will also hit the road in December, wrapping up with a massive London gig at the iconic Alexandra Palace. Punk pioneers the Damned will team up with Hammer House Of Horror and Circus of Horrors for an immersive, theatrical live experience at the London Palladium in October and American metalcore heroes Killswitch Engage will return with a new album this summer, followed by a UK tour in the autumn.

Grime godfather Skepta will follow up his European festival performances with UK and Ireland headline shows during November, legendary singer-songwriter Van Morrison has lined up a round of dates for later 2019 and early 2020, and burlesque superstar Dita Von Teese will bring her Glamonatrix Tour to the UK in spring 2020.

The Libertines

The band have confirmed performances in Bournemouth, Leeds, Dundee, Glasgow, Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Bristol and London, where they’ll finish up the run at the O2 Academy Brixton on December 18. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on June 28.

The Bristol quintet will perform at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom, Manchester Academy, O2 Academy Leeds, and Alexandra Palace in London for their biggest headline show to date this December. Tickets go on general sale at 9.30am on June 28.

The Damned

The punk pioneers have combined with Hammer House Of Horror for a theatrical live experience at the London Palladium on October 28, bringing together the band’s love of horror with a punk rock show. It will also feature cabaret and a supporting cast from Circus of Horrors. Tickets go on sale at 9am on June 28.

Killswitch Engage

The Massachusetts metalcore quintet, who will return with ‘Atonement’ this summer, will tour Europe in the autumn including shows in Norwich, Bristol, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, and London, where they’ll play the O2 Academy Brixton on October 20. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on June 28.

The grime artist, who recently released an album of the same name, will follow up his European festival performances with headline shows in Manchester, Birmingham, Dublin, Glasgow and London, where he’ll play Olympia, during November. Tickets are on sale now, priced from £38.50 including fees.

Van Morrison

The legendary singer-songwriter, who released ‘The Prophet Speaks’ last year, will perform in Bournemouth, Cardiff, Oxford and Nottingham in October, Brighton in early December. He’s also lined up three consecutive nights at the Stormont Hotel in Belfast between December 31 to January 2, 2020. Tickets for Belfast are on sale now, while tickets for the rest of the new dates go on sale at 9am on June 28.

Dita Von Teese

The burlesque superstar will bring her Glamonatrix Tour to the UK in spring 2020, with performances confirmed at Brighton Dome, Birmingham’s Alexandra Theatre, Edinburgh Playhouse, Manchester’s O2 Apollo, and the London Palladium, where she has lined up four shows, during April. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on June 28.
