Caliban are a German metalcore band from Hattingen.
Founded in 1997 under the name Never Again, the band signed to Lifeforce Records and released their debut self-titled EP a year later. Their debut album, ‘A Small Boy and a Grey Heaven’, arrived in 1999, followed by ‘Vent’ in 2001 and ‘Shadow Hearts’ in 2002. The band then inked a deal with Roadrunner Records and put out ‘The Opposite from Within’ in 2004, ‘The Undying Darkness’ in 2006, and ‘The Awakening’ in 2007. In 2009, they moved to Century Media and released a string of albums, including their latest, and 13th overall, 'Dystopia', in 2022. The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the USA, Europe and the UK, and have supported Morning Again, Earth Crisis and Cro-Mags, as well as embarking on a co-headline tour with Suicide Silence Caliban have UK shows in the diary for May 2025.
