She is widely recognised for hit singles such as Nothing Broken But My Heart, Think Twice, and My Heart Will Go On.

Starting her musical career in 1980, she released her debut French-language album, ‘La voix du bon Dieu’ in 1981, and then won the 1982 Yamaha World Popular Song Festival and the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest.

She signed to Epic Records and released her debut English-language album, ‘Unison’, in 1990. Her third English-language album, 1993's ‘The Colour Of My Love’, gained her international acclaim, hitting #1 in the UK Albums Chart and #4 in the Billboard Hot 200 in the US, as well as leading her to win two Juno Awards, an Ivor Novello Award and a Grammy.

Her most recent studio album, 'Courage', arrived in 2019.
