Chico Trujillo are one of Chile's most important orchestras. They are the soundtrack to every party from Arica to Punta Arenas. Their mixture of classic cumbia, bolero, reggae, latin american and balcanic music has assured them an audience from every generation and walk of life.
The band started as a side project from the ska/punk band LaFloripondio in 1999 in Valparaíso. Twelve years and five albums later they have come to simbolize a uniquely cocktail rooted in the pre-Pinochet days and they have managed to include every aspect of the Chilean popular culture, as well as having toured all over South America, North America and Europe.
