Chromatics are an electronic synth-pop, indie rock and new wave band from Portland, Oregon, consisting of f Ruth Radelet, Adam Miller, Nat Walker and Johnny Jewel.
After numerous lineup changes, which left guitarist Adam Miller as the sole original member, the band began releasing material on the Italians Do It Better record label in 2007, with their former noise-punk and lo-fi style streamlined into an Italo disco-influenced sound. Their debut album 'Chrome Rats vs. Basement Rutz' dropped in 2003 via Gold Standard Laboratories, and was followed by 'Plaster Hounds' in 2004, 'Night Drive' in 2007 on Italians Do It Better and 'Kill For Love' in 2012. 'Camera' came in 2018, and a new album, 'Dear Tommy', is due for release in 2019. Chromatics have US tour plans scheduled for May and June 2019, before hitting up the UK and Europe in autumn.
