The former ‘X Factor’ judge is currently in America recording the follow-up to her debut album ‘Messy Little Raindrops’, and if the Daily Mirror is to be believed, David Guetta is now lending her assistance behind the production desk.

Punk rock poet Patti Smith – known fondly by fans as the ‘Godmother of Punk’ – is due to release a new ‘Best of’ compilation entitled ‘Outside Society’ on 12th September. The compilation features a collection of 18 songs taken from each of her 10 albums released between 1975 and 2007.

Two Dead In Belgian Stage Collapse
At least two people have died and around 40 have been injured as a result of a stage collapse at the Pukkelpop Festival in Hasselt, Belgium. The accident occurred when a strong rainstorm and high winds caused the metal stage structure to fall forwards onto the crowd during a set from Chicago indie band Smith Westerns.

Cult Filmmaker David Lynch to Make His Debut as a Solo Artist
American film director David Lynch – known best for classics such as ‘The Elephant Man’, ‘Eraserhead’, ‘Blue Velvet’ and ‘Twin Peaks’ – is to make his musical debut on 7th November with the release of his first solo album ‘Crazy Clown Time’. The album features 14 original songs that are written, performed and produced by Lynch. The track ‘Pinky’s Dream’ includes guest vocals by Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
