AC/DC, one of the biggest rock bands on the planet, look set to release a new live album very soon.
Talking on BBC Radio 2 last week, charismatic frontman Brian Johnson announced the news explaining that the band, having just finished their mammoth Black Ice tour, will, “probably bring a live album out”.
Rumours are also flying around that the live album will also see the release of a new live DVD, the show hotly tipped to feature is AC/DC’s Black Ice Buenos Aires gig last December.
Having rolled across the planet for the last 20 months, AC/DC’s Black Ice World Tour reached its end in Bilboa, Spain, on June 28th. Having played to global audience of over 5 million people, the tour has been announced as the second highest grossing jaunt ever undertaken by a band.
Taking in 108 cities in 28 different countries, the tour launched following the release of the group’s grammy-award winning ‘Black Ice’ album. The band’s fifteenth studio album charted at Number One in 29 different countries.
