Hot Chip Side-Project About Group Announce New Single, Live Date & Tickets

About Group, the band featuring Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip, are to release new single ‘Don’t Worry’ on 30th May. The track is the latest to be taken from the band’s new album ‘Start & Complete’, which was released earlier this week, and will be available on digital download. About Group have also revealed details of a new headlining show at London’s Monto Water Rats venue on 11th May.
In addition to Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor, the supergroup are also made up of John Coxon from Spiritualized, Charles Hayward from This Heat and Pat Thomas. About Group were formed in 2009 to make an album of improvised music. They have previously played live on a number of occasions, including Glastonbury Festival and as support act for Gang Gang Dance.
‘Start & Complete’ was recorded in just one day. The songs were written by Taylor and given to the other members of the band only a few days ahead of the album’s recording date. The idea was that no band member would know the songs well enough to have specific parts.
