Stevie Nicks has claimed that Fleetwood Mac will be reuniting for a live tour in 2012, with the possibility of a new album also being recorded. The band reformed in 2008 for their ‘Unleashed’ world tour, but fans were keen to speculate when the group would reconvene once again.
However Nicks answered the question in a recent interview with celebrity blogger and gossip factory Perez Hilton. In the interview, Nicks claimed that the band will join and discuss their future plans once she and guitarist Lindsey Buckingham finish the touring and promotion cycles for their current solo releases.
She said: "When my album and Lindsey's album come to a stop, then Fleetwood Mac will gather again and we'll either make another record or we won't, and we'll just go on tour.”
Stevie Nicks also claimed that the possibility of a solo tour for her latest album In Your Dreams is currently dependent on how well the LP sells. She said: "It all depends on what happens when this record comes out. I have said this to many people. If the record comes out and it blasts out like a rocket, then all of a sudden I'll start getting offers from promoters... All the promoters, all the people in this business will wait to see what this record does."
In Your Dreams is scheduled for release in the UK on June 27th. It is currently available for purchase in the United States.
