Radiohead Will Tour Next Year, Says Frontman Thom Yorke

Radiohead’s Thom Yorke has pleased fans after revealing that the band will be touring the UK next year, following the release of their eighth studio album ‘The King of Limbs’.

The frontman was speaking to BBC Radio 1’s Gilles Peterson when he told fans about their plans to hit the road in 2012, as well as his idea to bring Portishead’s Clive Deamer along for the trip, after he joined them for a successful show at Glastonbury earlier this year. ‘The King of Limbs’ has been the only Radiohead album to date which the band have not toured either before or after the release.

“The idea is to go out and play next year on and off during the year,” revealed Yorke. The vocalist then went on to talk about his side project ‘Atoms for Peace’, which he formed with Red Hot Chilis bassist Flea and producer Nigel Godrich, and the album they have planned.

“We ended up just getting into the studio and generating some more beats based around something I had already. We’re just finishing that with Nigel at the moment. It’s ongoing as well. It will be an album in the same since The Eraser was an album.”
