Scissor Sisters Announce New Single, New Album & UK Live Shows

Following the release of their Azealia Banks & Alex Ridha (Boys Noize) co-written track ‘Shady Love’, Scissor Sisters have confirmed their first live shows of 2012, announcing two dates at London's Shepherds Bush Empire for May.

Scissor Sisters return with their new single ‘Only The Horses’ on 20th May. The New York band will release their fourth album ‘Magic Hour’ on 28th May through Polydor.

Speaking about album, Jake Shears says: “It’s a sweet joyful mélange of beat-driven future-pop. It style-hops all over the place unabashedly.”

The album was recorded over the past year in New York and London, with the single co-produced with Calvin Harris. The band’s relationship with Calvin started when Jake was working with him on material for Kylie Minogue’s 'Aphrodite' album. “When we wrote ‘Horses’, I immediately knew that he'd help knock it out of the park,” says Jake.

In other news, Scissor Sisters recently announced they are giving away a handful of very special limited edition 12” vinyl records through their social networks. 300 special 12”s of the set have been pressed and will not be on sale, but are to be given away.

Fans can be in with a chance of winning one of these very rare records by simply tweeting #iwantashadylovevinyl or going to Scissor Sister's Official Facebook Page and sharing the picture of the record. Winners will be selected at random.
