Easy Star All-Stars Announce New Album Release Date

Reggae collective Easy Star All-Stars have announced the release date of their new tribute album – and have launched a competition to unveil which iconic album they have covered and re-imagined this time.

The details on the album will be fully revealed on June 12th via the Easy Star All-Stars website, whilst the album will be released on August 28th later this summer. On the site you'll find a collection of albums which includes the likes of Adele's super-selling '21', Dr Dre's 'The Chronic', Green Day's American Idiot, and many more.

Each day, a record will be wiped out from the list, until only one remains – and those who guess correctly will be entered into a prize draw and one lucky winner will receive the entire Easy Star Records Back Catalogue (over 25 albums). All participants will get free music from the Easy Star All-Stars’ catalogue to download from the new album for participating.

The album pre-order and extensive autumn UK tour dates will also be revealed on June 12th – so keep an eye on Stereoboard. Fans will also be able to get a free download of the first single from the album for a week.

This highly anticipated new “tribute album” comes from the critically acclaimed series of Easy Star All-Star tribute albums that include Dub Side of the Moon (2003),Radiodread (2006), and Easy Star’s Lonely Hearts Dub Band (2009), and the Dub Side remix album Dubber Side of the Moon (2010). From performing in New York Clubs to the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival, the Easy Star All-Stars have built a growing, dedicated fan base throughout the world, bringing together fans of reggae, classic rock, dub and indie rock into one big family.
