Lawson Unveil Video For New Single 'Taking Over Me' - Watch Now

Lawson have unveiled the music video for new single 'Taking Over Me' which is now set to be released on 5th August.

Filmed in LA the video features all the boys getting down to a bit of kissing, dancing and enjoying the desert. The band managed to fit filming in around their busy festival schedule which includes Hard Rock Calling, T in the Park and V Festival.

‘Taking Over Me’ follows Lawson's debut single ‘When She Was Mine’, which stormed to Number 4 in the charts in May. In time for the summer months, ‘Taking Over Me’ is a submission to falling in love and has been a live fan favourite from the guitar pop band’s extensive gigs and touring so far.

Put together by songwriter and frontman Andy Brown with Joel Peat on guitar, Adam Pitts on drums and Ryan Fletcher on bass, 'Taking Over Me' takes you back to being young and hopelessly romantic.

Andy has this to say about the new track: "Taking Over Me was one of the last songs we wrote for the album and it came out of a jamming session I was having one day in LA with our producer John Shanks. It's an uplifting song about those first moments of a relationship and it's a song which I hope will go down great at all of the festivals we are set to play over the Summer.

The vast majority of the songs on the album are about heartbreak, and which I wrote after my relationship ended but I felt it was important that we had a song on there about the good times as well as the sad. Taking Over Me is that song."

Catch Lawson live this summer at London's Hard Rock Calling, Scotland's T in the Park Festival and V Festival.
