Suicide Silence Set Up Memorial Fund For Mitch Lucker’s Daughter

Wednesday, 07 November 2012 Written by Catherine Rea

In the wake of Suicide Silence’s vocalist Mitch Lucker’s tragic Halloween motorcycle accident on November 1st, the band have launched an official Mitch Lucker Memorial Fund on their website and are sending commemorative merchandise to those who donate.

The metal band received support from their fanbase as the news of Lucker’s fatality was posted on their Facebook page earlier this month, “there is no easy way to say this, Mitch passed away earlier this morning from injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident...he will be forever in our hearts”. After the news, Suicide Silence’s fanbase were eager to show support and send donations to the frontman's five-year-old daughter, Kenadee, to help pay for educational fundings and financial assistance for his wife of two years, Jolie. The late singer was pronounced dead at 6am on Thursday November 1st after sustaining injuries in a Halloween motorcycle crash on Huntington Beach after hitting a light pole.

Suicide Silence have set up a memorial page on their website allowing fans to donate their money over the internet. Those who donate $20 or more will receive a commemorative t shirt alongside anyone else who donates who will be mentioned on the band’s tribute page based on their official website. The band said, “We thank you for your continued love and support through this devastating time”.
