Welsh singer-songwriter Charlotte Church has criticised Barbados-born beauty Rihanna, saying her music sounds like a ‘porn soundtrack’.
The award-winning 27 year-old, who released the second of her ‘One & Two’ EPs last month, told Time Out that she didn’t want to use sex to her sell her music, or become a sex object - and went on to refer to Rihanna herself.
“I don't want to be a sex object at all - so no legs, no cleavage,” Church told the site. “There [are] enough women selling that as music... 'Rude Boy' by Rihanna - it's basically a porn soundtrack!
She continued: “I'd rather say, I don't care about the commercial side of it, I don't care about the money. Because hopefully that will mean longevity, rather just being a flash-in-the-pan child star.”
You can check out a performance of her new track ‘Glitterbomb’ below.
