Gabrielle Aplin Shares JP Cooper Collaboration Losing Me

Friday, 16 August 2019 Written by Jon Stickler

Gabrielle Aplin and JP Cooper have put out a collaborative single.

Losing Me is a dreamy pop track that will appear on the London singer-songwriter's upcoming third album, due for release in early 2020, with full details of the record to be announced very soon.

Aplin also worked with producers Lostboy and Mike Spencer on the new song. It follows the release of previously shared singles Nothing Really Matters and My Mistake. Discussing it, she said:

"Losing Me is about what you wish you could hear when you're having a particularly hard time, while also being that voice to someone else who needs it. It’s about remaining connected when there is so much in modern life that can give the illusion of oneness whilst making us feel more alone.

"I've been a huge fan of JP Cooper for years and I'm so happy he agreed to be on this song with me. I saw JP play an acoustic set at a festival three years ago I’ve wanted to work with him ever since."

Aplin is set to play an intimate show at London's House Of Vans on October 12 alongside Raye for Festifeel in association with Coppafeel. Tickets are on sale now.
