Sparta Announce First New Album In 14 Years 'Trust The River', Share New Song Believe

Sparta will return with their first new album in over a decade this spring.
The Jim Ward-led band will put out 'Trust The River' on April 10 via Dine Alone Records, their first for the label, following up 'Threes' which arrived way back in 2006.
Since then, they've been on hiatus while the former At the Drive In member focused on his Sleepercar project, though they have dropped a couple of standalone singles.
Alongside the album announcement, the El Paso band have confirmed a run of US dates for spring and shared a new song called Believe, which features extra guitars from Chicano Batman's Carlos Arevalo and comes with a James Arrabito-directed music video capturing the group rehearsing and recording. Ward said:
"Believe is a song that's been on my desk for 10 years, I've recorded numerous versions but couldn't quite get it where I thought it was ready until now. Once we had the basic track I sent it to my friend Carlos Arevalo from Chicano Batman for some guitar touches and was over the moon with his contribution. I couldn't think of a better song from 'Trust The River' to kick this new chapter off."
Believe follows the previously shared Graveyard Luck, which will also appear on the tracklist following its release back in 2017.
