Nile Rodgers and CHIC have moved their shows in Bristol to 2022.
The funk legend will now play Lloyds Amphitheatre on July 14 and 15 as part of the Bristol Beacon Presents concert series. Original tickets are valid, with the remainder on sale now.
The announcement follows the update from the UK government on when large live events will be allowed to return. Bristol Beacon artistic director, Todd Wills said:
"We know that ticket holders and music fans are eager to return to live music events as soon as its safe, so we know that many will be disappointed that Nile Rogers and CHIC and Belle and Sebastian won’t be gracing the Bristol Harbourside this summer. We want to ensure that these shows can go ahead exactly as intended, and with 21st June being the very earliest that large-scale events can take place according to the government’s roadmap, there is little time to guarantee we can make this happen.
"We've been working with the artists to secure new dates for these events, and we are really happy that we can still bring these musical icons to Bristol next summer."
Belle and Sebastian have also moved their date at the venue to summer 2022.
