Wu-Tang Clan's RZA Revives Bobby Digital Moniker For New Single Pugilism

Thursday, 22 April 2021 Written by Laura Johnson

RZA has revived his Bobby Digital moniker for the first time in 13 years.

The Wu-Tang Clan leader last used it when releasing his 2008 album 'Digi Snacks', and has now brought it back for the release of his new single, Pugilism. The off-kilter track finds him rapping over looped, ominous keys and minimal beats.

It's the first cut to be shared from his new album, 'Bobby Digital: Digital Potions', the follow-up to his 1998 debut solo LP 'Bobby Digital In Stereo', which does not yet have a release date.

The news coincides with the relaunch of 36 Cinema, a screening platform via which RZA showcases classic kung fu films and other seminal movies. The next series, which he's coined Saturday Afternoon Kung Fu Theater, will kick off on April 24. Head here for further details.
