Download Festival To Expand To Four Days In 2023 To Celebrate 20th Anniversary

Download Festival will expand to four days for the first time in 2023 to mark its 20th anniversary.

Following a triumphant 2022 edition after a three-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the rock, metal and punk extravaganza will be back next summer with a four-day celebration of music, one day longer than normal.

With campsites open from Wednesday, June 7, the musical line-up will kick off on Thursday, June 8, and wrap up on Sunday, June 11, organisers have confirmed. Bands and artists, including four headlining acts, are still to be revealed.

Highlights from this year's event, which featured headliners KISS, Iron Maiden and Biffy Clyro, will be broadcast on Sky Arts at 9pm on July 9 and 10.

What? Four days of the biggest and best in rock and metal from around the world, hosted at one of the most iconic sites in the genres' shared history, with live music being presented for the first time on the Thursday.

Where? Donington Park, near Derby.

When? June 8-June 11, 2023.
