Edging is their first new release with returning guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLonge, who parted ways with the band back in 2015. It finds the trio delivering the singalong punk-rock they're known for with dark lyrics that belie their upbeat delivery.
The track follows the recent announcement that the trio will embark on a world tour in 2023, with dates confirmed Latin America, Australia and New Zealand, North America, Europe and the UK.
The UK and Ireland run includes arena gigs in Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin on September 2, 4 and 5, respectively, and London, Birmingham and Manchester on October 11, 14 and 15, respectively. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on October 17.
Tickets for the Australian and New Zealand leg in 2024 will go on general sale at 1pm local time on October 20.
Following the tour announcement, DeLonge shared a letter via social media that he sent to Matt Skiba, who replaced him when he left the band. He thanked him for, "all that you have done to keep the band alive and thriving in my absence." Read it in full below.
