Saxon Announce New Album 'More Inspirations' With New Single The Faith Healer

Saxon have announced a new album.
Following the release of 'Inspirations' in 2021, 'More Inspirations' will provide a second instalment of covers of songs that have influenced the British heavy metal legends' career.
Scheduled to arrive on March 24 via Silver Lining Music, the LP was produced by Saxon vocalist and co-founder Biff Byford, with Seb Byford and mixing engineer Jacky Lehmann assisting. It's previewed by their version of The Sensational Alex Harvey Band's The Faith Healer, which is classic Saxon through and through, with amped-up guitar work. Byford commented:
"We used to see The Sensational Alex Harvey band play this back in the day, they started the set with it, such a fantastic song and fantastic band… big influence!"
Also featured among its 10-song tracklist is The Animal's We've Gotta Get Out Of This Place, Alice Cooper's From The Inside, and KISS' Detroit Rock City, along with new versions of songs by Rainbow, ZZ Top, Cream, Nazareth, The Who and Uriah Heep. Saxon will return to the road in Europe in March, including stops in Dublin and Belfast, with special guests German metallers Rage.
