Big Freedia Announces New Album 'Central City', Posts New Single Bigfoot

Big Freedia has announced a new album.
'Central City', the highly anticipated follow-up to her 2014 debut 'Just Be Free', is due out on June 23. It boasts collaborations with Lil Wayne, Faith Evans, Ciara, Kelly Price and more. The New Orleans bounce music legend explained how her sound has evolved:
"Bounce has been through many iterations—from Triggerman to Sissy to Cash Money Bounce—but my new album is something I call Bigga Bounce. Welcome to Central City, y'all, where I pay homage to my city, my roots, hip-hop, and to the art of creating a new sound."
Big Freedia has already shared the singles Central City Freestyle and $100 Bill from the record, and has now unveiled the third, the stomping beat-led Bigfoot, which she describes as "a powerful anthem of empowerment and motivation." Press play below.
Freedia was all over the music press last summer when she appeared on Break My Soul, the first single to be shared from Beyoncé's latest album, 'Renaissance'. She has a busy summer ahead, with festival and Pride appearances lined up across the US.
