The Mars Volta And At The Drive-In Documentary To Premiere In Autumn

A documentary about Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala of The Mars Volta and At The Drive-In will premiere this autumn.
Titled Omar and Cedric: If This Ever Gets Weird, the film was directed by Nicolas Jack Davies and chronicles the story of the "artistic and personal relationship between the two era-defining artists", explored through footage captured by Rodríguez-López going back 40 years.
In addition to the story of the two frontmen, the documentary will also follow both bands. It'll premiere at the Raindance Film Festival in the UK on October 28. Check out the trailer below. The official synopsis reads:
"A film that charts the artistic and personal relationship between two era-defining artists, Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala (At the Drive-In/The Mars Volta), told almost entirely through hundreds of hours of self-shot footage filmed by Omar over the last 40 years."
The news comes just as The Mars Volta are set to embark on a US tour. They released their latest album, 'Qué Dios Te Maldiga Mí Corazón', this March.
At The Drive-In's last album, 'In•ter a•li•a', came out in 2017, and was the highly anticipated follow-up to their third LP, 2000's 'Relationship of Command', a cult classic.
