Tuesday, 13 February 2024 Written by Jon Stickler

Sophie Ellis-Bextor has announced her biggest headline show to date for the summer.

The British singer will perform at the natural amphitheatre within the countryside grounds of Wasing Estate near Reading on June 18 as part of the On The Mount at Wasing concert series. Support will come from special guests Princess Superstar and Fat Tony.

Get pre-sale tickets via Gigantic from 10am on Thursday (February 15), ahead of general sale at 10am on Friday (February 16).

The On The Mount at Wasing series will also feature performances from Paolo Nutini, Crowded House, Jungle, Underworld, Nick Mulvey and Rodrigo Y Gabriela

Ellis-Bextor will also play The Watering Hole in Perranporth in September, following a spring European tour and her first show in New York City, which takes place at Webster Hall on June 6. Tickets for her NYC date go on sale at 10am local time tomorrow (February 14).

Later in the summer, she'll play slots at various UK festivals, including Camp Bestival, Penn Fest, and Tramlines. She'll also support Nile Rodgers and CHIC on a number of dates, including shows at The Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, The Piece Hall in Halifax as part of the Live At The Piece Hall series, and Dreamland Margate for the Margate Summer Series.

The singer's 2001 hit Murder On The Dancefloor recently returned to the UK Singles Chart, more than 20 years after its first release, after it featured in the memorable final scene of Emerald Fennell's film Saltburn. As a result, she's reissued the song as the lead track on a new EP, which also features remixes by PNAU, Jewels & Stone, and more.
