Built on Ross Godfrey's reverb-heavy bassline, with ethereal vocals from singer Skye Edwards, and a breezy flow from rapper Oscar #WorldPeace, the collaboration offers a further glimpse into Morcheeba's new album, 'Escape The Chaos', due out on May 23 via 100% Records. Commenting on the track, Godfrey said:
"I heard Oscar’s track Never Know on a stereo somewhere and his voice really grabbed me, I DM’d him and we agreed to try a jam together. Peace of Me is a succinct take on the chaos swirling around us every day and our attempts to find peace within it."
The trip hop pioneers previously teased their 11th studio album with its first single, Call For Love, back in January, and We Live And Die, which arrived in February.
Peace Of Me will also feature as one half of a double a-side release alongside We Live And Die, arriving on Record Store Day this Saturday (April 12).
The duo will celebrate 'Escape The Chaos' with a series of exclusive in-store performances during release week. They'll also headline London's South Facing Festival on August 14 at Crystal Palace Bowl amphitheatre, where they will be joined by special guests UNKLE and DJ Shadow, plus there'll be sets from Jurassic 5's Chali 2na, Zero 7 and DJ Cheeba.
