The track dropped last month, ahead of the London trio's recent UK and European tour dates, and follows their March single Jungle. Commenting on Weeds, the group said:
"Weeds is about growth in all its forms. It’s about being seen, nurtured, and loved into who you’re meant to become. We wanted the video to reflect that—how something small and unexpected can break through, take up space, and turn into something beautiful."
On the accompanying clip, director Gemma Yin added: "We set out to create a beautiful mixed media performance video with an ethereal quality, to complement the gorgeous single. As explored in the lyrics, we wanted to create the feeling of 'harnessing the power of nature' - carefully crafted visual effects bring an other-worldly and surreal quality to the performances."
Siobhan Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan released their latest album, 'The Lost Tapes', in 2022. But despite the new material, there's currently no update on a follow-up.
