Mariah Carey Returns With New Single Type Dangerous

Mariah Carey is back with a new single.
Marking her return after a seven-year hiatus, Type Dangerous samples Eric B and Rakim's 1987 hip hop classic Eric B. Is President among percussion-driven production that blends elements of R&B, soul, and pop .
It marks serves as the first taster of a new album from the five-time Grammy-winning singer, though details are still to be announced, and follows her 2019’s standalone track, In The Mix, which she recorded for the ABC sitcom Mixed-ish.
Carey released her latest studio album, 'Caution', in 2018, though she has dropped several anniversary versions of previous records since then, as well as a companion album to her 2020 Apple TV+ special, Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special.
She'll play three UK shows this summer, including Capital's Summertime Ball at London's Wembley Stadium on June 15, and a Heritage Live show at the Royal Sandringham Estate, Norfolk on August 15, and Brighton Pride’s Pride On The Park event on August 2. She'll also co-headline Australia's touring festival Fridayz Livewith Pitbull in October. Tickets are on sale now.
