Mimi Webb has laid out plans for her sophomore album.
The follow-up to 2023's 'Amelia' is titled 'Confessions' and will arrive on September 12 via Epic Records/RCA. Written and produced between Los Angeles and London, it finds the BRIT-nominated pop-powerhouse reflecting on her growth both personally and artistically. Check out a teaser video below. She explained:
"I dug deep and figured out what I want to say not just as an artist, but as a person. I decided to be brutally honest. It’s easy to be like, ‘Everything is wonderful’—even when there’s so much happening behind the curtain. I wanted to open up and scream, ‘This is who I am!'"
To coincide with the announcement, Webb has shared a new single titled Love Language, an emotionally-charged pop anthem. Introducing the track, she said: "Love Language is my first step into this new era and I don’t think I’ve ever been more nervous or excited to share a piece of music. The sound and aesthetic around it is so new and different for me and I can’t wait to bring people along for this new creative journey."
The song's accompanying video, helmed by British director duo Bradley & Pablo, will premiere tomorrow (June 10).
Last month, Webb collaborated with Grammy-winning label mate Meghan Trainor on the single Mind Reader.
