Reverend and The Makers have announced their eighth studio album.
'Is This How Happiness Feels?' will arrive through Distiller Records on April 24, 2026, following up 2023's 'Heatwave In The Cold North'. Frontman Jon McClure said:
"This album has been a labour of love owing to personal reasons but has emerged as a joyous triumph. It’s easily the best thing we’ve ever done and will surprise a few people too."
Co-produced by McClure and Danny Lafrombé, the record includes the Sheffield quintet's previous single, Late Night Phone Call, along with the newly released Haircut, a catchy indie-rock offering. The track sees British television star Vicky McClure contributing to vocals, marking her first studio collaboration with the band.
McClure admits he’s been trying to convince Vicky to become a rock star ever since he saw her perform onstage at Day Fever, the all-dayer they co-founded with filmmaker Jonny Owen. "Haircut was just about the catchiest thing I’ve ever written since me and my pal Danny did it to be honest. It’s a solid gold banger from day 1," McClure said. "Having a British icon and mate like Vicky McClure is just a dream combo. Buzzing to share it with the world."
Vicky added: "My love for music has always been known, with Our Dementia Choir and Day Fever but this was totally unexpected! I love the song, Jon and Rev, always up for trying something new."
The announcement comes ahead of the band's biggest ever headline show at the Rock N Roll Circus series at Sheffield's Don Valley Bowl on August 30. They'll also play Victorious Festival that same month. Tickets are on sale now.
Reverend and the Makers Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows
