Drake has postponed his Manchester show due to logistical travel issues.
The Canadian artist was due to perform at the city's Co-op Live arena tonight (July 28) as part of his co-headline $ome $pecial $hows 4 UK EU Tour with PARTYNEXTDOOR. However, a representative for the venue revealed yesterday evening (July 27) that an unexpected ferry schedule has disrupted the concert, with the show now set to take place on August 5. A statement posted to the venue's website reads:
"Due to unforeseen ferry schedule and travel logistics, tomorrow's performance in Manchester on July 28th has been rescheduled. The good news is that Drake will now perform in Manchester on Tuesday, August 5th, and it’s set to be an unforgettable night. All tickets remain valid for the new date—we can’t wait to see you there!"
The 38-year-old, who was already scheduled to return to Co-op Live for another performance on Monday (August 4), is yet to comment on the news.
The tour will also head to arenas in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Zurich, Cologne, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Milan, Paris, Berlin, Munich and Hamburg between July 30 and September 23. Tickets are on sale now.
The dates follow Drake's three unique headline sets at London's Wireless Festival earlier this month, while the tour takes its name from Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR's collaborative album, '$ome $exy $ongs 4 U', which dropped on Valentine's Day.
