Dance Gavin Dance have shared a new single, Space Cow Initiation Ritual.

Showcasing their signature post-hardcore sound with funk influences and guest vocals from funk pioneer George Clinton, the boundary-pushing track marks the latest preview of the California band's new album, 'Pantheon', due out on September 12 via Rise Records. Guitarist Will Swan said:

"Getting to work with an icon like George Clinton was surreal. It pushed us to dig deeper into the funk and find a balance between his iconic groove and our own post-hardcore edge. Space Cow Initiative blends those worlds in a way that feels fresh but familiar — I think fans of both camps are gonna vibe with it."

They've previously previewed the follow-up to 2022's 'Jackpot Juicer' with the singles Trap Door, All The Way Down, and Midnight At McGuffy's.

Earlier this summer, Dance Gavin Dance wrapped up their North American headline Return Of The Robot Tour, featuring support from The Home Team, Belmont, and Dwellings.

'Pantheon' tracklist:

1. Animal Surgery
2. Midnight at McGuffy’s
3. The Robot With Human Hair: Rebirth
4. The Conqueror Worm
5. Trap Door
6. Strawberry’s Daughters
7. Space Cow Initiation Ritual (feat. George Clinton)
8. All the Way Down
9. A Shoulder to Cry On
10. The Peak of Superstition
11. The Stickler
12. Yikes!
13. Descent to Chaos
