Christine and the Queens has joined the line-up for this weekend's Love Motion.
Headlined by Nile Rodgers and CHIC, other acts set to play Crystal Palace Bowl in London this Sunday (August 24) include French disco pioneer Cerrone, Louie Vega, Dimitri From Paris, Kirollus, House Gospel Choir, and Don’t F**k with Disco.
The all-dayer forms part of the ongoing South Facing Festival concert series, which continues with headline performances from Basement Jaxx tomorrow and Saturday (August 22 and 23).
Earlier this month, the event hosted Morcheeba, Mogwai, Busta Rhymes, Flackstock (the festival held in memory of Caroline Flack), Skepta's Big Smoke Festival, and Tinlicker. Reggae and dancehall legend Barrington Levy also took over Troxy as part of the series.
Christine and the Queens recently collaborated with Cerrone (pictured) on the four-track EP 'Catching Feelings', released last month via Because Music. Last year, the French artist (aka Héloïse Letissier) put out the album 'Hopecore' under the alias Rahim Redcar, which followed 2023's 'PARANOÏA, ANGELS, TRUE LOVE', released as Christine And The Queens.
Rodgers and CHIC will also headline Hitchin Priory Summer Series on August 28, Live At The Piece Hall in Halifax on August 29 and CHSq at Belfast's Custom House Square on August 31. They'll also support Will Smith in Cardiff next week. Head here for tickets. They dropped their most recent studio album, 'It's About Time', in 2018.
