Mika has returned with a new single, Modern Times.
Arriving via Republic Records, the soaring, synth-driven pop offering comes with a video filmed in Vienna, Austria and directed by Rupert Höller, known for his work with Foster The People.
Co-produced with Empire Of The Sun's Nick Littlemore, with additional production from Peter Mayes of PNAU, the track was written by the BRIT Award-winning and Grammy-nominated artist and marks the beginning of a new chapter, with an album announcement expected to follow soon. He said:
"The song for me is like a treadmill, and that treadmill is life, life in all its good and all its bad. As time goes on and life gets more confusing and sometimes overwhelming, we look further than the world around us, into the world of mythology, desire and dreams. Modern Times is a cathedral-like cry, for faith and spirit, resisting the grind and weight of life and the passing of time."
Mika will embark on his largest European tour yet in February, featuring 15 arena dates across the continent, including UK shows at London's OVO Arena Wembley on February 11 and Manchester's AO Arena on February 12.
He was also recently announced as the second headliner for next year's On The Mount at Wasing concert series in Berkshire. Tickets are on sale now.
His latest album, 'Que ta tête fleurisse toujours', dropped in 2023.
