Jessie J has shared another single from her upcoming sixth album.
H.A.P.P.Y is a bright and energetic pop track that shows off the BRIT Award-winner's powerhouse vocals, and comes with a video directed by Mitch Peryer. Jessie J said:
"The word happy holds so much weight for people in such different ways, and to spell it out singing feels right and GOOD. It’s what I want everyone that hears it to feel. A feeling of joy. Especially in a current world that is so heavy and filled with so much sadness I wanted to give people a song and a little video clip so that people can feel a little taste of light and fun, to let go for a few minutes. A song for the whole family. For kids to dance to and Grandparents to tap their feet to. Bring people together. That’s what music is for."
Produced by hitmaker Ryan Tedder, it offers a further glimpse into 'Don't Tease Me With A Good Time', the singer's first project in almost eight years, which is due out on November 28. She previously teased the record with the earlier singles Believe In Magic, No Secrets, and Living My Best Life.
After sharing that she underwent surgery for breast cancer treatment, Jessie J will embark on the rescheduled No Secrets Tour early next year, starting with the North American leg in January and February, followed by the spring UK and European run.
Original tickets for the UK and European dates are valid for the corresponding new shows, and the remaining tickets are on sale now. Tickets for the North American run go on general sale at 10am local time today (October 31), with those who purchased tickets for the postponed dates getting first access.
